For protection, consider framing your work—use glass (preferably UV-protective) for sketches, watercolours, and calligraphy, and keep a small gap between the artwork and the glass with a mount.

Handle artwork with clean, dry hands, or even cotton gloves if it’s delicate, to avoid oils or smudges.

Dust frames gently with a soft cloth, and never spray cleaners directly onto the artwork.

If storing pieces, keep them flat in acid-free folders or boxes, and separate them with protective sheets.
